If we grownups meet Meet Dave halfway, this kid-friendly lark just might meet our expectations.

Meet Dave is a science fiction comedy about mini-aliens trying to save their home planet who arrive here in a spaceship in human form, a computerized, human-sized creature in Dave's image -- that is, in the form of Eddie Murphy in a white suit. Murphy stars as an inch-and-a-half-tall alien from the planet Nill and the captain of the starship.
