"Angels & Demons" Wins Box Office Weekend Chart; Rakes In Million

Tom Hanks' controversial film "Angels & Demons" has topped the box office weekend, with the sci-fi flick "Star Trek" not far behind at second place.

The Dan Brown novel-based film, sequel to the 2006 blockbuster "The Da Vince Code," earned million in its opening weekend.

The latest installment of the "Star Trek" franchise is in close second, adding another million in its haul. Its total gross for two weeks is 7.6 million.

Also another winner, although down 44 percent from last week, is the Hugh Jackman-starrer "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" with.8 million. It has already covered its reputed budget of 0 million in just three weeks.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston's new romantic comedy, "Management," failed to enter the Top 10 with a measly 8,000 gross. The film, which she shares credit with Steve Zahn and Woody Harrelson, is the former "Friends" star's worst performing film since "Rumor Has It" in 2005.
