"Bedtime Stories" Actress Teresa Palmer To Star Alongside Nicolas Cage In New Fantasy Film

Australian actress Teresa Palmer has been tapped to star in Disney's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," alongside Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel.

Palmer, who is currently seen in the Adam Sandler picture "Bedtime Stories," will play the Baruchel's love interest in the film based on the music in the Mickey Mouse classic "Fantasia," per Hollywood Reporter.

The film will center on the apprentice, played by Baruchel, who is left to man a magic workshop when the sorcerer master (Cage) leaves. The apprentice had trusted his chores to a broomstick, but things went awry went the broom develops a mind of its own.

"Pirates of the Caribbean" producer Jerry Bruckheimer will handle the film; Jon Turteltaub will direct. Cage will executive produce.
