"Kung Fu Panda" Leads Nominees With 17 Nods At The 36th Annies

"Kung Fu Panda" is leading the rest of the animated films with 17 nods at the International Animated Film Society Awards or Annies. The 2008 DreamWorks Animation film, which featured the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, and Jackie Chan among others, has been shortlisted for 17 prizes at the ASIFA-Hollywood awards show. Among the nominations "Kung Fu Panda" has amassed are Best Animated Feature, Best Animated Video Game, Animated Effects, 3 bets for Character Animation in a Feature Production, and Directing in an Animated Feature Production to name a few. It has beaten Pixar-produced "Wall-E," which snagged 7 nods, including Best Animated Feature, Walt Disney's "Bolt" garnered five. For TV, "Simpsons" and "King of the Hill" are up for the Best Animated Television Production prize. The 36th Annies will be held in Los Angeles on January 30.
