Paramount won't be kicking off the new year without one last good score, and probably another hit in home video sales. They officially announced that the sleeper hit "Paranormal Activity" will hit Blu-ray and DVD on December 29th, less than three months after the film hit wide release.

The original theatrical version will be included, as well as what Paramount touts as a "shocking alternate ending" not seen in theaters. It may not have been seen in theaters, but an alternate ending has made way its way around the internet. The Blu-ray will also include a digital copy of the theatrical version.

The movie, about a couple who film their experience with a demonic haunting in their home, was a huge word-of-mouth hit. "Paranormal Activity," which was filmed on a budget of ,000, has grossed over 0 million at the U.S. box office. A sequel is already reportedly in the works.
