"Sex And The City" Stars Agree To Reprise Their Roles On The Film's Sequel
Thu, 22 Jan 2009

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have agreed to star in the "Sex and the City: The Movie" sequel.

Following months of speculation the quartet were set to reprise the roles they brought to the big screen last year - four years after the hit U.S. TV series ended - a source has now claimed the lead actresses will appear in another movie.

The film insider said: "Not all the contracts are signed, but everyone is on board. It just happened."

All the actresses will get increased salaries for appearing in the second movie. Kim originally refused to sign up for the first film over pay disputes.

Cynthia, who plays lawyer Miranda Hobbes, already has an idea for a plot the new movie could follow.

She said: "I would love to see her and Carrie and Charlotte and Samantha all go off on some wild mad cap adventure somewhere."

Although Warner Bros., who made the first movie, have not confirmed a sequel will be made, Sarah Jessica - who plays writer Carrie Bradshaw - has previously hinted the movie will start shooting this summer.

She said: "I think shooting in summer is a realistic timetable. That's when we'd start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months."
