"The Met: Live In HD" To Show Puccini's Madama Butterfly In Select Movie Theaters

The Metropolitan Opera is teaming up with local movie theaters to offer "The Met: Live in HD" to give fans the opportunity to see Puccini's "Madama Butterfly." The performance will be playing in local theaters on Saturday, March 7 at 1 pm (ET) in select theaters across the country.

Cristina Gallardo-Domâs, who was the original Butterfly in the 2006-2007 Met season production, will be returning in the title role. The talented Marcello Giordani will star as Pinkerton.

The show will be conducted by Patrick Summers and runs 3 hours and 21 minutes with 2 intermissions scheduled.
