"Tron" Sequel Taps Garrett Hedlund In The Starring Role

"Friday Night Lights" actor Garrett Hedlund is set to star in the sequel to the Disney 1982 film "Tron."

The 24-year-old actor will play a man who is pulled into a world of a computer and retracing the steps of Kevin Flynn, a character from the original film played by Jeff Bridges.

As per Hollywood Reporter, Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett have also been cast in the project. Bridges will be reprising his role.

Steven Lisberger, the co-writer and director of the original film, will be producing along with Sean Bailey and Jeff Silver. Production is scheduled to begin in spring.
