After the success of "Obsessed," we'll be sure to see a few more femme fatale thrillers. First up is "The Roommate," with "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester playing the unhinged psycho this time in a "Single White Female"-esque new thriller. Aly Michalka and Matt Lanta have just joined the cast, while Minka Kelly will play the object of Meester's obsession.

Meester plays college freshman Rebecca who becomes dangerously obsessed with her new roommate, Sara, played by Kelly ("Friday Night Lights"). Lanta, who will appear in the upcoming thriller "Sorority Row," will play Sara's ex-boyfriend. "Twilight" star Cam Gigandet plays her current boyfriend.

Michalka, appearing in next month's "Bandslam," plays an outgoing dorm-mate who helps Sara with her social life. Danish filmmaker Christian E. Christiansen will direct.

Meester recently announced she would be working on an album, working with acts such as Cobra Starship on a track. Michalka, of Aly & AJ, is releasing a new album this summer on Hollywood Records.
