Wed, 07 Jan 2009
The usual nominees are yet again nominated in another award-giving body. The American Society of Cinematographers announces nominees for their feature film category. Cinematographer Claudio Miranda of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," Wally Pfister of "The Dark Knight," Roger Deakins of "The Reader" and "Revolutionary Road," Chris Menges of "The Reader," and Anthony Dod Mantle of "Slumdog Millionaire" all make it to the shortlist of feature film award. ASC President Daryn Okada said, "This annual celebration is our way of letting our colleagues from around the world know that their peers in the ASC recognize their inherent visual talent and spirited ability to get compelling stories on the screen in this collaborative art form." The winner will be named in an awards celebration at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel on February 15.
