Brendan Fraser Teams With Harrison Ford On The Big Screen For Medical Drama
Tue, 20 Jan 2009

Indiana Jones and "The Mummy" slayer are teaming up on the big screen to battle a big medical dilemma. Brendan Fraser will join Harrison Ford for the medical drama set to begin filming in April. The untitled project is the first production for CBS Films, the feature arm of broadcaster CBS.

Fraser will play John Crowley, the father of two children who are diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder for which there is no cure. Fraser's character refuses to accept this diagnosis and recruits the help of a medical researcher portrayed by Ford. Ford works to find a way to save the children.

The film's screenplay is inspired by "The Cure," a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, Geeta Anand. Tom Vaughan is directing the film. Fraser starred in two box office hits last year, "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor."

The roles of Fraser's wife and kids have not yet been cast.
