Director Mark Waters In Talks To Helm New Comedy

"The Spiderwick Chronicles" helmer Mark Waters is in talks to direct a new comedy from Participant Media about the effects of greed.

"Minimum Wage" centers on a corrupt corporate executive who is convicted of fraud. As punishment, he was sentenced to live on minimum wage for one year in the town his company bankrupted, as per Hollywood Reporter.

Peter Abrams, Robert Levy, and Andrew Panay are producing.

Waters has finished directing the New Line Cinema film "The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past." The film, starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner, will be released on May 1.
