Director Spike Lee Reveals Original Casts Will Return In "Inside Man" Sequel
Tue, 20 Jan 2009
Director Spike Lee has revealed what's in store for the sequel to his 2006 action thriller film "Inside Man," and it includes big plot changes while keeping the rest of the cast. According to earlier reports, the tentatively titled "Inside Man 2" would focus on the first film's lead Dalton Russell, played by Clive Owen, and his robber cohorts getting involved in a New York diamond district heist. However, the director squashes that idea, telling MTV that they won't be doing that anymore. Although he didn't reveal any plot specifics, Lee said that the location would still be in New York. Also, the original cast will return. Owen, Denzel Washington, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Jodi Foster are all on board in the film. 2006's "Inside Man" grossed over million in the U.S. and 3 million internationally. It became Lee's most financially successful movie to date.
