The Disney-Pixar movie "Monsters, Inc." is currently available on Blu-ray Hi-Def for the first time.

The 2001 animated feature was released on a special 4-disc Blu-ray edition on Nov. 10. The latest release of the fourth full-length film from animation studio Pixar includes all new features compiled with its digitally re-mastered presentation of the friendliest monsters you've ever seen.

John Goodman and Billy Crystal voice Sulley and Mike, the top scaring team in the city of Monstropolis, which runs on a special energy source: the screams of terrified children. It's all in a day's work for the two, but when a closet door is accidentally left open, a child (Mary Gibbs) walks into their world causing all sorts of panic that only they can fix.

Also filling out the voice cast are Steve Buscemi, James Coburn, Jennifer Tilly, John Ratzenberger, Bonnie Hunt, Frank Oz and Bob Peterson.

Nominated for multiple Academy Awards for the film, including the first Best Animated Feature and winner of Best Song for Randy Newman's "If I Didn't Have You," Pixar offers a plethora of extras in the Blu-ray release of "Monsters, Inc." Besides the features already offered in the original DVD included in the set - such as "Monster Files," "Banished Concepts," gag reels, storyboard featurettes and the shorts "Mike's New Car" and the Oscar winner "For the Birds" - the Blu-ray contains the interactive game "Roz's 100 Door Challenge," a mix of puzzles, trivia and mini games.

There is also content such as BD-Live highlights, a Filmmakers Round Table with the film's creators and an early look at the "Monsters, Inc." exhibit in Tokyo Disneyland. Additionally, the Disney File Digital Copy allows for download of the movie on most electronic devices through iTunes and Windows Media Player.

The 4-disc Blu-ray Hi-Def edition of "Monsters, Inc." retails for .99.
