Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - The upcoming "Monsters Inc." prequel "Monsters University" was recently announced and is already seeing its release date shifted.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney/Pixar is pushing back "Monsters University" from its originally November 2nd, 2012 release date to June 21st, 2013.

Another Disney animated feature, "Reboot Ralph," will now open on November 2nd, 2012 instead. It was pushed up from its March 2013 release date.

Dreamworks followed by moving their own "The Croods" back a few weeks from March 1st, 2013 to March 22nd, 2013.

"Monsters University" was initially set to arrive exactly 11 years after the original "Monsters Inc.," one of Pixar's biggest early hits.

It was originally released November 2nd, 2001 and has since spun off successful theme park attractions at Disney Parks.
