Hollywood is taking advantage of the Superbowl this year. Even with the hefty price tag for each 30-second commercials, film studios have bought a slot to feature their pictures at the game.

Showing fresh footages of their films at the major NFL event would increase the movies' chances of generating heat at the box office. Last year, Superbowl broadcast attracted 97 million viewers. It also consistently ranks as of the few annual televised events in which the audiences pay attention to the commercials.

The rate for a 30-second commercial this year costs million, forcing other regular ad buyers such as General Motors and FedEx to retreat.

Superbowl XLIII will be aired live by NBC on February 1 from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

As provided by Variety, the confirmed movie commercials included in the line-up are:

"Transformers: Revenge Fallen"

"Star Trek"

"G.I. Joe"

"Angels and Demons"

"Monsters vs. Aliens"

"Land of the Lost"
