Simon Webbe is to star with 50 Cent in a new movie. The former Blue singer has landed a part alongside the U.S. rapper and British actor Danny Dyer in an as-yet-untitled gangster movie.

The 29-year-old star revealed: "I'd say it's a gangster movie. You know, the original British type. How can I explain it? It's kind of like a rock and roll new film."

Simon - who attended the U.K. premiere of Will Smith's latest release, "Seven Pounds" - says he is a huge Will Smith fan and joked he has been to every one of the Hollywood star's movie premieres "since I've been famous."

The "I'm a Celebrity..." star added to BANG Showbiz: "It's no secret that I'm a big massive fan of Will. But this is actually a movie that my girlfriend wanted to see."

Simon is also working on a new album to be released this year, and admits he is "really excited to be back in the studio."
