Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival Premieres Suspense Thriller "Lost Everything"
Mon, 03 Nov 2008
Love, lust, and lies are the premise for the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival's most suspenseful genre to date, "Lost Everything." The film is directed by Kim Leon, alongside writer Jerry Hamilton Bell. "Lost Everything" captures the enigmatic lust fest between famous actor Bryan Brett and his trusty undercover bartending companion, David. Director Kim Leon takes on the task of depicting forbidden love in an unacceptable society. The film opens the door to what society deems as unethical and as a result condemns those who chose to be who they truly are. "I agree with those who are true to themselves and want to be who they are," states Leon. In a variety of films an antagonist exists. As depicted in the film, crime boss Danielle Washington, played by Avery Sommers, deliberately demonstrates fearless angst in setting the crooked straight. Her role in the film challenges her integrity to keep televangelist Clacy Holmes' son on the track of convergence. "I believe he was at the end of his rope. This society is very permissive so there are a lot of cover-ups," declares Sommers. "Lost Everything" does not disappoint in its surefire approach in seeing a relationship destroyed between father and son. More importantly, lives are destroyed as hungry reporters loom ahead to annihilate those who succumb to a timid façade and live less than stellar lives. Nevertheless, the film plays out powerfully as you are at the edge of your seat. Societal depictions displayed examine what real people will do to keep their lives blameless in a sea of deceit. "I think this film is going to be a great help so we're all just waiting," says Sommers. Kim St. Leon has produced "The Best man" and "Sunday Morning."
