Get Sucked In To "Drag Me To Hell" DVD
Tue, 20 Oct 2009
The Sam Raimi horror film "Drag Me to Hell" is currently available on DVD and Blu-ray Hi-Def. The summer scare-fest comes complete with both the theatrical and unrated versions of the movie on the DVD, along with production diaries. The Blu-ray also contains Digital Copy of the film, as well as BD Live, a special feature allowing for full utilization of the format with My Scenes Sharing, Video Rotation and On-Screen Ticker. "Spider-Man" trilogy director Raimi's latest movie, co-written by himself and his brother Ivan, is about loan officer Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), who finds her life becoming a living hell when she is forced to evict an old woman (Lorna Raver) from her house in order to gain a promotion at work. As the unfortunate victim of an evil gypsy curse by the old woman, Christine's days turn into one long nightmare of terrifying images, disrupting her otherwise peaceful life with her boyfriend (Justin Long). And even help from seers and other sources may not be enough to save her soul from eternal damnation. "Drag Me to Hell" marks a return to the kind of movies that brought Raimi his initial fame. As the creator of the low budget supernatural shocker "The Evil Dead," Raimi made a name for himself blending horror and comedy with visceral effects and camerawork. Along with the trademark Oldsmobile present in many of his films - including the other two "Evil Dead" entries - "Drag Me to Hell" contains the kind of Raimi panache that led Owen Gleiberman of Entertainment Weekly to refer to it as "the most crazy, fun and terrifying horror movie in years!" "Drag Me to Hell" retails for .98 on DVD and .98 for Blu-ray. Other Raimi films currently available are "Army of Darkness" Screwhead Edition Blu-ray, as well as the "Darkman" trilogy.
