Megan Fox Joins Jon Hamm In Ensemble Comedy "Friends With Kids"
Mon, 18 Oct 2010

There is life for Megan Fox after "Transformers" after all. Megan Fox is set to join Jon Hamm and Kristen Wiig, among others, in the upcoming ensemble comedy "Friends with Kids."

Jennifer Westfeldt wrote the script and will direct as well as star. Jennifer's body of work includes starring in "Notes from the Underbelly" and "24," as well as writing and starring in the 2001 comedy "Kissing Jessica Stein."

The comedy revolves around a pair of thirtysomething best friends who, having seen the toll having kids has taken on the couples around them, decide to have a child and then date other people.

Westfeldt and Adam Scott ("Party Down," "Parks & Recreation) will play the lead couple. Jon Hamm and Kristen Wiig will star as another couple.

Fox is set to play one of the women Adam Scott's character begins dating.

"It's a very literate script and when Jen met with her, she thought Megan was spot on. When (Fox) picks the right part, she has tremendous value," said John Sloss of Cinetic Media.

"Jen wrote one of the funniest and most original scripts I've read in a long time, the rare great generational character comedy," Jane Kasdan said, who will Executive Produce along with Mike Nichols.

"Friends With Kids" is set to hit theaters in April. Fox can also be seen in the upcoming "Passion Play," which sees her starring alongside Mickey Rourke and Bill Murray.
