Veteran actor Michael Douglas has been honored a Life Achievement trophy, with a number of Hollywood greats lined up to honor him.

"TV Land PRIME Presents the AFI Life Achievement Award" will feature the 64-year-old actor receiving the honor from American Film Institute and will be aired on July 19 on TV Land PRIME.

Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty, Annette Bening, Matthew McConaughey, Tobey Maguire, Martin Sheen, Oliver Stone, Benicio del Toro and Kathleen Turning paid tribute to the actor, whose career took a turning point upon starring in the 1984 cult classic "Romancing the Stone."

Among the highlights of the show include an appearance of Douglas' father, Kirk, whose own acting career is a legend of its own. Catherine Zeta-Jones, his wife, will be seen in a surprise musical performance.

Nicholson, the AFI Life Achievement recipient in 1994 and star of the 1975 Academy Award-winning film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," which was produced by Douglas, presented the award to the actor, saying he have had many of his high and fine moments with him.

Douglas thanked his parents, Kirk and actress Diana Dill, for his "acting DNA." He also paid tribute his mentor, Karl Malden, upon receiving the award.

"TV Land PRIME Presents the AFI Life Achievement Award" will be aired on July 19 at 9 p.m. ET.
