Nicole Kidman Attached To Star In BBC's "Little Bee"
Fri, 10 Jul 2009
Nicole Kidman has been attached to star and produce the BBC Films-acquired project "Little Bee," based on the bestselling Chris Cleave novel. The film will follow a fateful encounter on an African beach wherein a 16-year-old Nigerian orphan named Little Bee meets an upper middle class British couple who have wandered outside the safety of their vacation resort. Shawn Slovo, who wrote the autobiographical "A World Apart," is writing the script, Variety Reports. Kidman will next be seen in "Rabbit Hole" alongside Aaron Eckhart and Dianne Wiest. She was supposed to appear in an as-yet untitled Woody Allen film, but had to drop out because of scheduling conflicts. She will also be starring with Charlize Theron in "The Danish Girl," which has yet to begin production.
