Fri, 31 Oct 2008

"Spiderman 4" will be getting help from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, if negotiations with Columbia Pictures fall through.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lindsay-Abaire, who 2006 drama "The Rabbit Hole" won the nation's highest literary achievement in 2006, is in the final negotiation stage to pen the latest sequel.

Tobey Maguire, who plays the titular character in the first three films, and director Sam Raimi have signed on last month for two more films. Kirsten Dunst, who played Peter Parker's love interest, has not yet been confirmed to reprise her role.

The plot details of the 4th flick have not been disclosed.
