Seth Rogen's New Comedy "Zach And Miri Make A Porno" Banned From Several U.S. Theaters
Mon, 27 Oct 2008

Seth Rogen's latest new film, a raunchy comedy called "Zack And Miri Make A Porno" has been stirring controversy at several movie theaters in the U.S. after movie executives decided to axe the film from being shown at several locations.

The movie contains somewhat explicit sex and nudity scenes and some think it will be too crude for viewers. Four Megaplex Theaters in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Lehi and Sandy in Utah have chosen not to play the film because of the explicit scenes.

The movie, directed by Kevin Smith, stars Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks who play two friends that are cash strapped and decide to launch an adult film to help pay their bills.

The movie has faced controversy for several months. In early September, members of the Motion Picture Association of America banned promotional posters of the picture. Studio bosses then re-commissioned the poster. In October, the movie originally received an adults-only NC-17 rating, but was later changed to an R rating after movie executives won an appeal to have the rating lowered.
