Following the announcement of the Golden Globe Awards' shortlisted entries, the nominees have expressed their appreciation for being considered for the awards.

Possibly the most honest reaction from the bunch, Dustin Hoffman - nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture for "Last Chance Harvey" - unabashedly said that he wants to win, saying, "It is so exciting to be nominated, but working with Emma [Thompson] was reward enough. Don't get me wrong, I still want to win!"

Others took the unoriginal approach and expressed their joy through being "honored" by the Hollywood Foreign Press.

Angelina Jolie said of her Best Actress nom for "Changeling," "I am honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press in a category with so many extraordinary women. What an amazing experience, having the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood on a film I care so deeply about."

Partner Brad Pitt, who was nominated for his turn as a backward aging man in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," was also "pleased" to be nominated and congratulated the film's team for their nominations.

Those who are "thrilled" about their nominations, include Marisa Tomei (Best Supporting Actress for "The Wrestler"), Kevin Connolly (Best TV Actor for "Entourage"), Alec Baldwin (Best TV Actor for "30 Rock"), Mary-Louise Parker (Best TV Actress for "Weeds"), Shirley MacLaine (Best Actress in a Mini-Series or Made-for-TV Movie for "Coco Chanel"), Emma Thompson (Best Actress for "Last Chance Harvey"), and Hugh Laurie (Best TV Actor for "House").

And speaking for the late Heath Ledger, dad Kim thanked the Hollywood Press Association for his son's Best Supporting Actor nomination for "The Dark Knight."
