Teen heartthrob Zac Efron is speaking out about the rumors claiming he is set to star in the "Pirates of The Caribbean" 4 film, saying he has not been approached about the film.

Rumors surfaced earlier this week that Efron had signed a multimillion dollar deal in the range of million to star in the Disney movie along with Johnny Depp. Some even said that Efron may even be groomed to step into Depp's place for future "Pirates" films.

Efron, 21, has insisted it is just a rumor, but if approached says he wouldn't turn down the opportunity. On Wednesday, the "High School Musical" star told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show, "Honestly, at this time it's just a rumor."

"I wish I was going to be in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4,' so hopefully that will happen for me."
