Say what you will about The Hulk, but at least director Ang Lee's sense of story carried the day in 2003.

Admittedly, the computer-generated special effects were subpar and we saw too much of them. And, yes, the emotion-drenched melodrama did turn into a shallow video game in the late going. But there was a "there there."
